November 18, 2008 - Nascentric, Inc., an Electronic Design Automation (EDA) company focused on providing a high performance, large capacity SPICE simulator, unveiled the second generation OmegaSim™ GX today. Now, the NVIDIA Tesla GPU Computing Processor is leveraged to speed up both the simulation solver and transistor evaluations in OmegaSim GX. In addition, OmegaSim GX now supports single-CPU/multi-GPU configurations using the Tesla GPU Computing Processor.

"We are very excited to see Nascentric continue to innovate and leverage the power of NVIDIA Tesla GPUs," said Andy Keane, general manager of GPU computing at NVIDIA. "Moving the bulk of the data-intensive computations to the GPU is the right strategy for a SPICE simulator to achieve maximum performance. We are happy to see that OmegaSim GX now supports multiple Tesla GPU configurations."

"In these challenging times, as we strive to provide the maximum price/performance benefit to our customers, the proverbial low hanging fruit is to further leverage the power of the GPU," said Rahm Shastry, president and CEO of Nascentric. "With these product improvements, OmegaSim GX is now the world's first multi-threaded, multi-GPU enabled SPICE simulator."
